Experience laser cutting. Make vintage-inspired holiday magic.
Step into Ghost Rocket Makerspace and get hands-on with mid-centruy modern design meets cutting-edge maker technology. Inspired by classic hand-painted glass ornaments and iconic Shiny Brites, this workshop lets you create two custom acrylic ornaments (or small wall hangings) with our CNC laser doing the precision work.
When: Now through December 19, 2025.

Duration: Approx. 60-90 minutes
Ages: 18+ only
Skill level: No experience needed—perfect for first-time makers!

What You’ll Do:
Choose from a few vintage-inspired acrylic shapes (approx. 8cm wide) in a mid-century-inspired colour palette.
Assemble and decorate your ornaments with similarly inspired materials: paints, beads, tassels, jingle bells, and more.
Get live demos of our large-format CNC laser in action
Customize each ornament with laser-etched text, patterns, or designs
Take home 2 completed ornaments ready to hang
What You’ll Experience: This isn’t just a crafting workshop. It’s a quick introduction to what’s possible with large-format laser cutting. See precision cutting and engraving firsthand, explore our makerspace, and leave inspired to tackle your own projects in the new year.

Choose a date and time for you to come to Ghost Rocket Makerspace and craft your ornaments. Each booking is for one person only. Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email with more details.
Location: Ghost Rocket Makerspace, 388 Carlaw Ave. Unit #119, Toronto
Capacity: Up to 6 makers per time slot. Private parties of up to 10 people are available if you email us at info@ghostrocketmakerspace.ca
Payment & Cancellation policies: Pay in full is required at the time of booking. Cancel within 24 hours of your reservation start time to receive a full refund. No-shows and late cancellations are non-refundable.
What to bring/wear: Closed-toed shoes are required. Please wear clothes that you may get messy. Otherwise, bring your creativity and holiday spirit!\
