About Ghost Rocket Makerspace

Ghost Rocket Makerspace is a community makerspace and fabrication studio in Toronto’s vibrant East End. We’re thrilled to welcome you to our space and can’t wait to see what you make.

A few think that yellow lines, similar to a highlighter, are used decoratively to draw attention to the section.

Our mission is to make “making” easier and more accessible by providing the tools, space, and support for people to turn their ideas into objects.

As a multidisciplinary maker, designer, fabricator, and problem-solver, Mike turns imagination into reality. With over 25 years of digital and hands-on fabrication and design, Mike’s skills run deep—from building custom furniture, props, costumes, and arcade cabinets to creating interactive museum exhibits, set pieces, large-scale pop-ups, and more.

Mike's biggest passion by far, though, is helping others bring their wild ideas to life. That’s why he built Ghost Rocket Makerspace as a place for creativity, curiosity, and community to collide. Whether you’re a first-time tinkerer or a seasoned pro, Mike is here to guide you, cheer you on, and celebrate your “look what I made!” moments.

How our Makerspace works

Our goal is to make "making” easy and accessible for anyone so, our makerpsace runs on a simple system: Get Certified → Book Your Time → Start Making.

1 / Get certified

Take a short Certification course for the station(s) you want to use. It’s our way of keeping the shop safe, inclusive, and ready for everyone to make.

2 / Book the station

Reserve space in hourly blocks to work on your own projects. Choose between flexible hourly passes or a monthly membership for regular access.

3 / Get to making

Grab your plans, files, and materials and head to the makerspace. Bring your ideas to life with as much or as little help as you need from our crew.

We can help bridge the gap between idea and object.

Sometimes, a project calls for more than tools. Our crew of multidisciplinary fabricators and designers is here to help you at any stage of your project —from planning and preparation to in-shop production support.

Here, when you need a hand with:

  • designing and planning

  • sourcing or prepping materials

  • creating files and graphics

  • and, bringing it all together in our shop
