These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ghost Rocket Makerspace website and your participation in services, bookings, memberships, events, and activities offered by Ghost Rocket Makerspace (“Ghost Rocket,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing our website, creating an account, making a purchase, booking services, or attending our space or events, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

Our website is publicly accessible.
You must be 18 years of age or older to use Ghost Rocket Makerspace facilities, tools, equipment, or services.
Valid identification may be required in person.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet eligibility or safety requirements.

2. Accounts & Member Access

Some services require creating a member account.
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and security of your account information.
Access to tools, machines, or Stations requires the completion of Safety & Station Orientations and approval by staff.
Access permissions may be granted, modified, or revoked at our discretion for safety or operational reasons.

3. Purchases & Payments

Pricing & Currency

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors, including Stripe, integrated with Wix.
Ghost Rocket does not store or have access to your full payment card details.

4. Memberships & Day Passes

Memberships

Memberships are billed on a recurring basis until cancelled.
Membership benefits, access levels, and pricing are described on our website and may change with notice.
Memberships are non-transferable.
Purchasing a monthly membership does not guarantee access to specific tools or machines without the required Safety & Station Orientation and approval from Ghost Rocket Staff.
The purchase of a monthly membership also does not guarantee availability and usage of machines and tools; we strongly recommend booking time in advance.

Day Passes

Day passes provide temporary access as described at purchase.
Day passes are non-transferable and may expire if unused within the stated timeframe.
Purchasing a day pass does not guarantee access to specific tools or machines without the required Safety & Station Orientation and approval from Ghost Rocket Staff.
The purchase of a day pass also does not guarantee availability and usage of machines and tools; we strongly recommend booking time in advance.

5. Bookings & Attendance

Some services require advance booking through our website. Booking and scheduling rules vary by service, event, or offering and are posted at the time of purchase.
Some services require you to book a start time only. Booking a start time allows us to better manage space, tools, and staffing. It does not guarantee exclusive use of shared resources unless explicitly stated.
To use the Makerspace, you must purchase a Day Pass or Monthly Membership before you can book your visit.
Drop-ins to the Makerspace are welcome when space allows. Advance booking is strongly recommended.
Please arrive on time for your booking or event. Late arrivals or no-shows may result in forfeited fees or bookings.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to safety, staffing, or operational needs.

6. Cancellations, Refunds & No-Shows

Refund and cancellation policies vary by service, event, or booking and are posted at the time of purchase. For most services, refunds are not provided for late cancellations, late arrivals, or no-shows.
Membership fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun.
Event tickets and classes may have specific refund deadlines.
No-shows or late cancellations may result in a fee forfeiture.
Exceptions may be made at our discretion.

7. Orientations, Classes & Events

All Stations, which house specialized fabrication tools and machines, require completion of a Safety & Station Orientation before use.
Most classes and events are educational or social and do not replace required orientations unless explicitly stated.
Community events and open studio activities are not formal instruction.
We reserve the right to substitute instructors, modify content, or cancel events if necessary.

8. Makerspace Agreement & Waiver Requirement

Use of Ghost Rocket Makerspace facilities, tools, equipment, and Stations is governed by a separate Makerspace Agreement, which includes detailed terms related to safety, conduct, assumption of risk, and limitation of liability.

All individuals must review and sign the Makerspace Agreement in person before using any tools, machines, Stations, or attending any events, classes, and workshops. Participation is not permitted without a signed agreement, regardless of membership, day pass, or booking status.

These Terms supplement but do not replace the Makerspace Agreement.

9. Agreement & Liability

All members must sign the Ghost Rocket Makerspace Agreement before using the shop. That agreement governs liability, assumption of risk, and damage to equipment or property.

These terms supplement but do not replace the Makerspace Agreement.

10. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts, memberships, or access:

For violations of these Terms
For unsafe behaviour
For misuse of equipment
At staff discretion, when safety or operations are impacted

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site or services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.

These Day Pass Terms & Conditions apply to all day passes purchased at Ghost Rocket Makerspace.

By purchasing a day pass, you agree to these terms and to our Makerspace Agreement.

1. Day Pass Overview

A day pass provides access to the makerspace for one calendar day, based on the access level purchased.

Day passes:

are valid for one person only
may not be shared or transferred
may be used on a different date than the purchase date

2. Validity & Scheduling

Day passes are valid for a single calendar day during posted open hours.
Booking ahead is strongly recommended.
Purchasing a day pass does not guarantee the availability of specific tools, Stations, or work tables.
All Stations require the completion of the appropriate Safety & Station Orientation before use.
Day passes must be used within a stated validity period from the date of purchase.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

Day passes may be refunded or rescheduled if cancelled at least 24 hours before use.
Day passes that are not cancelled in time, not used, or are no-shows are non-refundable.
Once a day pass has been used, it is non-refundable.

4. Station Access & Orientations

Station use requires completion of the appropriate Safety & Station Orientation.
Day passes do not waive orientation requirements.
Completing an Intro to Station class may fulfill the orientation requirement, but does not include ongoing access beyond the day pass.

5. Conduct & Safety

All Day Pass users must:

Follow shop rules, safety procedures, and staff instructions
Use only the tools they are approved and trained to use
Respect shared space, equipment, staff, and other makers
Clean up after themselves

Ghost Rocket reserves the right to deny or revoke access for unsafe behaviour or policy violations, without refund.

6. Support & Services

Day passes include informal, in-shop support.

Project Support, Guided Builds, classes, and workshops are separate offerings and require additional booking and fees.

7. Commercial Use

Day passes may not be used for commercial production, print farms, or manufacturing for resale without prior approval.

8. Age Requirement

All Day Pass users must be 18 years of age or older.

These Membership Terms & Conditions apply to all Monthly Memberships at Ghost Rocket Makerspace (“Ghost Rocket,” “we,” “us”).

By purchasing a membership, you agree to these terms and to our Makerspace Agreement, which must be signed before using the shop.

1. Membership Overview

A Ghost Rocket Makerspace monthly membership provides access to the makerspace based on the plan you choose. Membership access may include Basic Shop Access and/or access to specific Stations, depending on your membership level and completed orientations.

Memberships are for individual use only and may not be shared or transferred.

2. Billing & Renewal

Memberships are billed monthly and auto-renew.
Your first month is charged immediately at signup.
Subsequent billing occurs on the same day each month.

Cancellation Policy

Memberships must be cancelled at least 7 days before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid billing period.
If you cancel mid-month, you retain access through the end of that billing period.
Membership fees are non-refundable once a billing period begins.

3. Access & Availability

Membership access does not guarantee the availability of specific tools, Stations, or work tables.
All Stations require the completion of the appropriate Safety & Station Orientation before use.
Some tools and Stations require advance booking.
We recommend booking ahead, especially during busy times.

Ghost Rocket reserves the right to adjust hours, availability, or capacity as needed.

4. Station Access & Orientations

Access to Stations requires completion of the appropriate Safety & Station Orientation.
Completing an Intro to Station class may fulfill this requirement, but does not include ongoing access without an active membership or day pass.
Station access is only valid for Stations you have completed orientation for and that are included in your membership plan.

Ghost Rocket may require refresher orientations or additional training if equipment, policies, or safety standards change.

5. Conduct & Safety

All members must:

Follow shop rules, safety procedures, and staff instructions
Use tools only as trained and permitted
Respect shared space, equipment, staff, and other makers
Clean up after themselves and return tools and materials

Unsafe behaviour, misuse of equipment, or violation of policies may result in temporary suspension or permanent revocation of access, without refund.

6. Support & Services

Memberships include informal, in-shop support such as quick questions and guidance.

Dedicated services such as Project Support, Guided Builds, classes, and workshops are separate offerings and may require additional fees and booking.

7. Commercial Use

Ghost Rocket is a community makerspace, not a production facility.

Memberships may not be used for:

large-scale production
print farms
commercial manufacturing for resale

Limited personal or small-batch use may be permitted at our discretion.

8. Age Requirement

All members must be 18 years of age or older.

By attending Community Maker Night at Ghost Rocket Makerspace, you agree to the following terms.

Overview

Community Maker Night is a casual. social, hand-on creative event designed for working on personal projects with use of shared workspace, everyday tools, and community resources.

Tickets & Pricing

Cost: $15 per person
Tickets may be purchased in advance online or at the front desk before the event.
Capacity is limited (currently 7 people)
Tickets guarantee entry. Drop-ins are welcome first come first serve once capacity is reached.

Cancellations & Refunds

Tickets are non-refundable.
If you can't attend and let us know in advance, tickets may be transferred to a future Community Maker Night at our discretion
No-shows are not eligible for refunds.

Tools & Materials

Bring your own materials and supplies. Do not bring any power tools, machinery, or hazardous materials. If you're unsure, ask a member of our crew before you use it.
Shared workspace, everyday tools, and community resources are available.
Independent use of Stations or specialized fabrication tools is not included.
Members who otherwise have access to a Station may be allowed limited use of the Station at staff discretion.
Tool access may be limited to keep the event safe, calm, and fair for everyone.

Conduct & Safety

Community Maker Night follows Ghost Rocket House Rules and Makerspace Agreement.
Unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviour may result in removal from the event without refund.
Staff instructions must be followed at all times.

Age Requirement

Community Maker Night is for adults 18+ only.

Final Note

Community Maker Night is about shared making, conversation, and progress, not production or exclusive tool access. We may adjust guidelines as the event evolves to best support the community.
